The TTI Bursary South Africa is a scholarship program. The sole aim of this interesting financial scheme is to help students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds acquire higher education in selected fields.

To be eligible for the TTI Bursary in South Africa, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship: A candidate is expected to be a South African citizen. This can be through birth, marriage or naturalization.
  • Financial Background: The applicant must come from a previously disadvantaged background or be from the “missing middle”. This means your parents or guardians earn a combined annual income between R350 000 and R600 000.
  • Academic Performance: You must demonstrate excellent academic results
  • Educational Status: You must be enrolled in or accepted to a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa. This includes universities, universities of technology, TVET colleges, and agricultural colleges registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).

Field of Study: Be pursuing studies in a field relevant to the South African economy. This includes fields like engineering, science, technology, healthcare, education, and business.
